CELEBRATING COMMUNITY
Center for Family Life is a neighborhood-based family
and social services organization in Sunset Park,
Brooklyn.
For 38 years, the Center has grown with the Sunset
Park community, responding to emerging needs with
innovative and effective programs.
Today, our comprehensive services in counseling,
employment, education, the arts and recreation
engage more than 17,000 children and adults each
year at eight community locations.

Wilfredo “Freddy” Pedrero
Center for Family Life
Food Pantry Staff Member
Wilfredo Pedrero has been running the
show at Center for Family Life’s food pantry
for ten years. Freddy receives deliveries
and donations and packs pantry bags with a
careful consideration of the needs of every
individual and family. With Freddy’s dedication
and diligence, CFL provides over 70,000
healthy meals to families facing hunger.

Brenna’s work as a videographer has taken
her around the world, from Atlanta, Georgia,
to the Azores Islands to Indonesia. For the
past year, she has explored CFL’s work through
the Lewis Hine Documentary Fellows Program,
which connects young documentarians to
organizations serving children and their
communities.
