FACILITY RENTALS
When you register in a recreation program you will receive free parking
in lot P1. Bring your parking ticket to the Wellness Centre (Room V111)
for validation upon completion of each class. Drop-in classes do not
include parking.
The SAIT Campus Centre Facility is home to our Athletics and Recreation Department
and the SAIT Trojans. Our Campus Centre is a multi-purpose facility that includes an
NHL-sized arena, a 35-metre salt water swimming pool, a 22,000 sq.ft. dual gymnasium,
a full-sized artificial turf soccer pitch, a weight room, five-pin bowling alley, a fitness
studio, six squash courts and several fully-equipped classrooms to support a variety
of different functions.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, a minimum administrative fee of $50 will
apply, plus any applicable service costs, related to the course fee, may be
retained. SAIT Trojans Recreation reserves the right to cancel a program
due to low registration. In such instances, registrants will be refunded
in full in the original form of payment. Registrants withdrawing due
to injury or illness must supply appropriate documentation and request
cancellation in writing to Student Services prior to the first session.

Drop-In Passes
All drop-in fitness classes can be registered online using imleagues.com.
Whether you are reserving a single class or wish to use a multi-class pass,
you must register through the IMLeagues website. Please be advised that
no drop-in reservations can be made over the phone or at the Wellness
Centre (V111).
STEP 2: On the top header, click “Drop-in Fitness.” You can view the fitness calendar
by day, week and month. You can also select which classes you’d like to see
by using the dropdown menu.

Women’s Fit Boxing The instructor will teach a set of standing exercises which will provide experience in
grounding, Silk reeling and traditional Yang style movements. Tai Chi can help increase

INBODY BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
Our new lifeguard school allows candidates to complete all courses to become a certified
lifeguard and swim instructor in just one month. Courses completed include Bronze
Medallion, Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid with CPR-C, National Lifeguard and Water
Safety Instructor. This classroom, pool and practicum inclusive course will prepare
candidates to work at aquatic centers across the country.

Recognized as the standard measurement of the lifeguard performance in Canada,
National Lifeguard Award education is designed to develop a sound understanding
of lifeguarding principles, good judgement and a mature and responsible attitude
toward the role of the lifeguard. The National Lifeguard’s primary role is the prevention
of emergency situations and where this fails, the timely and effective resolution of
emergencies. The National Lifeguard program is designed to prepare lifeguards to fufill
this role as professional facilitators of safe, enjoyable aquatics.

of the human body, closely relate to the status of our health. Using
the method of quantitative analysis, these elements of body composition

PARKING
When you register in a recreation program you will receive free parking
in lot P1. Bring your parking ticket to the Wellness Centre (Room V111)
for validation upon completion of each class. Drop-in classes do not
include parking.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
If you cancel your registration, a minimum administrative fee of $50 will
apply, plus any applicable service costs, related to the course fee, may be
retained. SAIT Trojans Recreation reserves the right to cancel a program
due to low registration. In such instances, registrants will be refunded in
full in the original form of payment. Registrants withdrawing due to
injury or illness must supply appropriate documentation and request
cancellation in writing to Student Services prior to the first session.

Swim Lessons
Salamander (ages 3 - 5 years)
Swimmers learn to swim two metres, further develop basic floats,
increase distance on front and back glides, front swim, roll-over glides
and learn how to use a personal floatation device (PFD).
Starfish (ages 4 - 18 months)

The goal is to help babies experience buoyancy and movement through
songs, while playing in the water, as well as teach the parent/caregiver
age-specific water safety. To enter this level, babies must be able to hold
their head up.

Swimmers receive an orientation to water and the pool area and work on floats, glides
and kicking. Swimmers build their endurance by working on the five-metre front swim.
In Swim Kids 3, swimmers increase their distance on front and back glide with kick,

Private swim lessons are available for all ages and skill levels. Lessons are geared toward
those who would like more one-on-one attention to improve their skills.
Swim Kids 7/8
In Swim Kids 7, swimmers increase their distance for front and back crawl (50 metres),
and elementary back stroke (25 metres), learn to front scull, perform whip kick on front,
learn the stride entry and swim 150 metre continuously. In Swim Kids 8 swimmers
increase their distance on front and back crawl (75 meters), learn breast stroke (25 metres)
eggbeater kick, perform feet-first surface and standing shallow dives and swim 300
metres continuously.

Pre Competitive Stroke Development
In this course, swimmers work on developing competitive level swim skills.
Endurance, as well as dives, turns and technique will be emphasized. This

We offer two or three hour parties for your child’s birthday or team function. All party
packages come with food (choice of pizza or hot dogs and cake, chips and a drink) in our
party room. All activities are located in the Campus Centre facility. Mix and match to
build a party that suits your child’s style.
PD Day Programs
Looking for fun and excitement for your child on PD Days? Our enthusiastic camp staff
will lead campers through daily activities including swimming, bowling, gym time, crafts
and more. Please bring comfortable shoes, gym clothing, a swimsuit and towel, and lunch.
PD Fun Day (ages 6 - 8)
Zumba Kids Party
Zumba Kids parties are designed for kids 4 to 12 years old. These
high-energy fitness parties are packed with choreographed, kid-friendly
routines and all the music kids love.

Make a big splash in the pool with our popular swimming parties. Swim for
one hour and finish off with cake in the party room.
Bowling Party
Make your way down to the bowling alley and land a strike. We offer four
lanes of five-pin bowling that still has a retro flair. Enjoy one hour in the
bowling alley and one hour in the party room.
Yoga Party
Learn the tree pose or become a warrior. This party package is for those
that love to move and is recommended for children ages 7 and up.

Capoeira is a Brazilian mixed martial art developed 400 years ago by the slaves and
Indigenous people of Brazil who were forced to disguise their art form by incorporating
elements of dance and acrobatics. Our classes involve cardiovascular and muscular

We offer four lanes of five-pin bowling for your party. Enjoy one hour in
the bowling alley and one hour in the party room.

One of our most popular packages that includes an hour of swimming

Zumba parties are designed for kids 4 to 12 years old. These high energy
