We are thrilled to announce our twenty-fifth
anniversary season and the news of our Music
Director/Conductor search. You will see many
exciting changes at the Firelands Symphony
Orchestra performances this year including a larger
orchestra, different repertoires, new venues and pre
and post-concert “Conversations” with the
Conductors. As the new Executive Director, I would
like to encourage you to be involved. In each
program we’ll include an audience feedback form
and your opinion will be included as we select the
person who will become the next Music Director of
the FSO. There are three additional ways you can
make a difference this year:
• Attend the Concerts – Let’s show our music
director candidates that there is a vibrant
community here that supports the arts.
• Invite your friends – Doing so will enlarge our
audience and broaden the feedback we need to
choose the very best conductor.
• Contribute to the FSO – The orchestra needs
your continued financial support now, more than
ever. Sustaining a quality orchestra today
remains an ongoing challenge.
Thank you for your interest in this orchestra.
Opening night features Carl Topilow, Conductor of
the Cleveland Pops, at the Sandusky State Theatre
on October 6th. The Search is ON. Don’t miss it!
Let’s make this our best season yet!
