Your Final Project
At the end of this unit, you will create one of the following three final products.
Below is a short description of each of those final products.
Ouch!
A hospital that helps only children needs your help. Many of the younger kids
come to the hospital really worried about cuts and scrapes that they get.
The doctors need your help. Can you write a story that explains how the body
cells work to heal a wound?
In your storybook, the doctors need you to describe the process of how the
body heals from a wound like a cut so that children would understand.
Find the Cause!
Cells are the basic unit of life.
For this project you will describe the structure and function of a cell and its
organelles, investigate how different types of cells interact by researching
a disease involving cells and then examine current research and discuss
ethical concerns about treatment. Write a report about your findings.
A Journey through a Cell!
There are two different ways that a cell reproduces or splits to create
another identical cell, mitosis and meiosis.
Choose one of the processes and create a brochure as if you were taking
a journey through the process.
