Biggest agro event in Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands from 7 to 10 September 2016
AGROTECHNIEK HOLLAND: FULL HOUSE WITH 3.000 MACHINES OF 500 DIFFERENT
BRANDS
‘Everything of interest for farmers' will be on show during AgroTechniek Holland, the
biggest outdoor agro event in the Netherlands held in Biddinghuizen from 7, up to and
including 10 September. More than 3,000 agricultural machines of more than 500 brands
will be presented by circa 250 manufacturers, importers and dealers during the third
edition of this event.
In addition to showing 3,000 state-of-the-art tractors, equipment, harvesters, milking
technology and livestock housing equipment, we also organize a TrekkerParcours (tractor
track) where farmers can make test drives with the most modern tractors, as well as
numerous innovations that all compete for the Bronzen Sikkel (bronze scythe) award.
This biannual event for contractors, arable farmers, livestock farmers and farmers with
mixed farms from the Netherlands and abroad, will be held from Wednesday 7, up to and
including Saturday 10 September from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Friday to 8 p.m.
Demonstrations of harvesting, spraying and tillage
“During this fourth edition of AgroTechniek Holland visitors will be presented with
demonstrations of harvesting beets and smart farming. In addition to the exhibition fields,
an area of more than 40 hectare will be made available for exhibitors to show the state-ofthe-art harvesters and other machinery to the tens of thousands of contractors, arable
farmers and livestock farmers expected every day,” says Willem Bierema, manager of the
agro fair.
Tractor Track for testing the most modern tractors
Driving the newest tractors across a track full of obstacles? You will now get the chance to
do so on the Tractor Track confronting you with those traffic situations that you encounter
most often in your every-day practice. This is an excellent opportunity to test the tractors'
performances. Supervised by an expert instructor, visitors can test, examine and get a feel
for the tractors.
Innovations highlighted
There will be a great many product innovations among the more than 500 brands presented
during this event. The most outstanding innovation will be awarded the Bronzen Sikkel, an
innovation prize conferred by a professional jury. This jury will evaluate all entries and assess
to what extent they are innovative and distinctive for the future of the agricultural sector.
During the first day of the event, Wednesday 7 September, the winner of the Bronzen Sikkel
2016 award will be announced.
