A GOLDEN 1 CREDIT UNION PUBLICATION
We’ve Got the Answer
HOME LOANS
We’re speaking with Michael Popp, Vice President of Home Loans to answer your most
common questions about buying a home. Popp has over 20 years of loan experience and
oversees the credit union’s Home Loans division.
Golden 1 News: Is it a good time to buy a home?
Popp: Yes. Rates are still historically low and home prices
are starting to rise, so now is a good time to buy. Plus new
homes continue to be built, so there is a lot of inventory to
choose from.
Golden 1 News: What if someone can’t afford a 20% down
payment?
Popp: We can help. Golden 1 has numerous loan options
that reduce the amount of money members need to
purchase a home. We’ll work with you to find the best
solution possible.
Golden 1 News: What’s the benefit of getting a home loan
through Golden 1?
Popp: Our home loans team puts members’ needs first,
and ensures that applicants get the best value and
service possible. We have a dedicated team of Home
Loan Advisors to help members find
the best loan to fit their budget and
financial goals.
Golden 1 News: What is a Home Loan Advisor?
Popp: Our Home Loan Advisors are advocates for our
members, representing them throughout the home loan
process. Each advisor has extensive knowledge and
experience in the mortgage industry and strives to provide
the best service possible, identifying loan options and
ensuring the process goes smoothly and as quickly as
possible.
Golden 1 News: What is your favorite part of your job?
Popp: My favorite part is making people’s dreams come
true every day. We change lives, and I’m proud to be a
part of Golden 1 Credit Union.
