Guide to…
e-books
What is an e-book?
An e-book is a book that is published in electronic form, e.g. on the internet or
a CD-ROM.
E-books provide the benefits of 24/7 availability and allow you to read the
content without having to visit the library.
All NHS staff have access to a national collection which consists of around
200 e-books. Additional e-books have also been purchased for South
Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SCAS) staff regionally and locally.
These include;
ABC of prehospital emergency medicine (2013)
ABC of resuscitation (2013)
ABC of transfer and retrieval medicine (2015)
Emergency medicine : pretest self-assessment and review (3rd
ed) (2012)
Foundations for paramedic practice: a theoretical perspective (2nd
ed.) (2012)
Medical pharmacology at a glance (7th ed) (2012)
Paramedics : from street to emergency department: case book
(2012)
The paramedic's guide to research : an introduction (2012)
Professional practice in paramedic, emergency and urgent care
(2013)

Your search results will indicate if there is an electronic version available
under the Media column to the right of the screen.
You can filter your search to find electronic books only. Scroll down to ‘Type of
material’ and select ’Electronic book’.
