Greg Scheinman Wins Executive Champion at Inaugural Houston D10 Decathlon
November 6th, 2016 (HOUSTON) Greg Scheinman, Senior Vice President and Shareholder at
Insgroup, Inc. was named Executive Champion at the inaugural Houston D10 Decathlon. Scheinman
placed 7th overall, 2nd in the over 40 age bracket behind overall Champion Reagan Buckley and 3rd in
fundraising at the event held at Rice University.
Scheinman is also the Founder of ROW Studios, the fast growing brand of indoor rowing fitness
studios.
The D10 Decathlon celebrates the brilliance of amateur athletes through world-class athletic events
measured by their economic and social impact. The D10 Decathlon 2016 tour included stops in New
York (June), Boston (July), Chicago (August), San Francisco (October) and Houston (November).
The D10 includes events performed at the NFL Scouting
Combine, Olympic decathlon, and on the playground.
"Our competitors are some of the premiere non-endurance
amateur athletes. They have incredibly inspiring stories, and we
are thrilled to give their talents exposure on this level," Dave
Maloney, the founder of the Decathlon, said.
The event has elements of an Olympic decathlon and the NFL
Scouting Combine. In the span of four hours, bankers, traders,
brokers and analysts go head-to-head in a 400-meter run,
football throw, pull-ups, 40-yard dash, dips, 500-meter row,
vertical jump, 20-yard shuttle, bench press, and an 800-meter
run.
The event raises money for pediatric-cancer research and
treatment. To date, it's raised more than $6 million for the
cause with over $200,000 from this weekend's Houston event.
"It was a privilege to compete in The D10 Decathlon. I'd read about the event in New York and was
inspired to join and compete alongside other executives and business professionals both athletically and
in raising funds for Pediatric Cancer research and treatment." Scheinman said.
