2011 FALL SCCAP
(SO. CALIF. ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC)
MEETING RECAP
HTTP://WWW.SCCAP.INFO/
HOME_PAGE.HTML
To begin this SCAP meeting/
luncheon was a very proud time to
represent our CVAP. At this meeting
there were two Alumnae Area
Advisors, one of which was Carol
Coordt, our AAA. Carol proudly
announced to all that were present
that we (CVAP) had won the
National NPC Award. She also went
on to say that she had just come from
Texas where we were presented with
this award.
Overall, Fall 2011Sorority
Recruitments were very positive.
Our larger So. CA Universities, those
recruitment numbers were as a result
of reaching out for out of state
students. In addition, they also had
transfers, plus more sophomores
going through recruitment. The Fall
2011 Recruitment overall attendance
numbers for all of our 14 SCCAP
college/universities were very
positive with 9,700 young women
who went through. Not to mention
every one of their chapters are either
at or over their quotas.
The majority of our SCCAP schools
were very creative this year with
many different marketing events to
promote sorority life. The following
are some of their examples: hosting
parent’s night, pizza parties,
brochures from each school listing all
their sororities with each sorority's
history, pictures of each chapter’s
house, GPA, size, philanthropy, colors
flowers, symbols, plus mottos. Then
at the larger schools they selected
several sororities who did skits, or
showed films plus themes that
represented their sororities. Each
young woman was also provided with
a college/university logo bag which
made it easy to carry all their sorority
brochures plus various giveaways.
Finally, on behalf of our CVAP
Collegiate Files , I would like to
thank all of you who took your time
to complete our “Potential New
Membership Recruitment” form.
Based on the quotas at most of these
schools the competition to become a
New Member of the sorority , they
selected may become difficult. That
is why you’re taking the time to
recommend our young women from
CV who are seeking sorority life can
make a major difference. All our
young women who have become a
New Member of a sorority are very
appreciative.
Sincerely,
Jody Landerman
