How to play Stacks of fun! (2 or more players) OBJECT OF THE GAME The object of the game is to keep adding to a tower of blocks without making them fall over. If you keep doing this, you'll win! PREPARING TO PLAY Shuffle the cards, and place them face down on the table, with the blocks and timer. Place all the tokens in a pile, off to the side. Then decide how many tokens a player must win to be the overall winner. Usually this will be around 3 or 4, and this should take around 15 minutes to play. PLAYING THE GAME The player whose birthday is next, goes first. Wind the timer back to 2 minutes, and start it, The first player turns over the top card. If the card shows one block, place it on the table as it appears on the card. If 2 or 3 blocks are shown, place them on the table, on top of each other as shown. The next player then turns over the next card, and places the number of blocks shown, on top of the block/s already there. Where the card has more than one block, these must be added one by one. The tower of blocks cannot be straightened up during a round. Play continues in this way, until someone causes the tower of blocks to fall over, or until the timer stops. SCORING When a player causes the blocks to fall over, or if the timer stops while a player is having his/her turn, the player loses that round. The other players each get one token. All players (including the one who lost the last round) play the next round, with the loser going first. The scoring is the same. THE WINNER When a player reaches the agreed number of tokens, he/she is the overall winner. If there is a tie, the tied players play another another round to find the winner. SPECIAL CARDS No blocks are added - the order of play reverses. No blocks are added, and play moves immediately to the next player. The block shown must be dropped (not placed) on top of the tower of blocks. It can be dropped from very close, but the player Must let go of the block before it touches the top block. You must pick up the highest yellow block (balancing the blocks above it), and place under it a gray block. Then replace the yellow block (and the blocks above it) down on the gray block. If you drop any blocks, you lose! (If the blocks on the card are not in the tower yet, the same player just plays the next card)
