Rules/Divisions/Fees
This show will run in accordance with New England 4-­H Horse Show Rulebook. Fun Day Rules 1. Pre-­entries close on Thursday, October 5, 2017. All post will pay a $20 post-­entry fee. 2. Mail or bring a copy of a Coggins Test & Rabies Certificate for each participating horse. Both must have been received within the past year. 3. There will be a $40 returned check fee on any check that does not clear. 4. All riders on the grounds MUST wear an ASTM/SEI Approved helmet when mounted. 5. Ribbons & prizes will be awarded in every class. 6. The point system is as follows: 7 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 7. Barrel Race is the tie breaker for all divisions that include horses. 8. Scurry Race is the tie breaker for Horse-­Less division 9. You are not required to enter all classes in a division to qualify for day-­end awards 10. The show committee reserved the right to cancel, combine or split classes as needed. 11. Rider age is as of January 1, 2017. 12. Back number will not be issued unless classes are paid in case in full or a blank check is left at the show booth. 13. Jackpot Paybacks: 1= 50% 2= 25% 3= 10% Divisions: In Hand Division Open to any horse and rider team that is not showing under saddle at this event. You will never be asked to canter in any class. Lead Line Open to any rider that has never shown off the lead line at any event. The handler must be 16 or over, and there must be a halter under the bridle at all times. The lead rope must be attached to the halter Junior Walk/Trot Open to all riders 18 and under who do not compete at the canter or lope Adult Walk/trot Open to all riders 19 and over who do not compete at the canter or lope Junior Open to all riders 13 and under Senior Open to all riders 14-­18 Adult Open to all riders 19 and over Horse-­Less Open to all who are 18 and under or any adult that is not competing with a horse at this event. This division does not count toward overall high point horse and rider.
