Voice of the expert – picking a quote A good quote gives a clear idea of what an expert’s work is about or what she or he thinks. It should be interesting and relevant to the story. Get their attention! – coming up with a catchy title A good title is short and snappy – no more than 6 words. It can be a statement or a question relevant to the story. Weighing it all up – check your display is balanced Have you included at least two different viewpoints about the science in your story? Picture perfect – selecting eye-catching images. Eye-catching images grab people’s attention. Use images of the experts whose quotes you use – this helps to put a human face to a story. Try drawing your own images.
