Date: June 14 (Wednesday afternoon) Masterpoints: 81.8% sectional-rated black *Hand records and analyses provided NORTH AMERICAN PAIRS A highly prestigious “grass roots” event, the North American Pairs starts at the club level in June, July and August. Club-level qualifications may be earned at any club in any unit in any district. A player may qualify as often as desired and with as many different partners as desired. At the district final, which will be held at the Saskatoon Regional Tournament in September, both players must have qualified at the club level and must be members of the parent district (18). Date: June 16 (Friday afternoon) – Flights A, B, & C June 20 (Tuesday evening) – Flight C only June 22 (Thursday evening) – Flights A, B, & C Other qualifier games will be scheduled in July and August Masterpoints: 50/50 red black 81.8% sectional-rated The Longest Day of Bridge – Alzheimer’s Event 2017 June 21, 2017 Get rested up for a day of fun and Bridge. We are offering 12 board games every two hours from 8:00 AM till 10:00 PM to raise funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s. When you play the first game the cost is - $8.00, second game - $7.00, third game $6.00. fourth game $5.00. Play more than four games, the remainder games are at $3.00 each. To help start the day, muffins and juice is available, after the 10 o’clock game sandwiches are available and after the 4 o’clock game, hamburgers and hot dogs are available. All these can be obtained for a minimum donation to Alzheimer’s. During the day, a silent auction is held for merchandise, gift certificates, gift baskets, collectables, and the opportunity to play with more experience players. Players that have agreed to be auctioned: Verla Zerebesky, Linda Connell, Cathy Walsh, Jay Anderson, Andy Anderson, Doug Schmeiser, and Jerry Mamer. All successful bidders will receive a tax receipt for their bid. All funds raised on this day, go to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Show your support and wear purple!!! “Let’s Fight Alzheimer’s Together” AWARDS The Executive has decided to reinstate awarding “Free Play” awards for winning in any of the various Club Championship games throughout the year, this will become effective June 1 st . These awards will be awarded at the Spring Luncheon and Annual Awards Night and as well as the Christmas Luncheon and Annual Christmas Party.
