Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana is an internationally well known institute for cultivation of the
education and research in mathematics. Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana conducts school level
mathematics training programmes. The students from such training programmes have excelled in
state ,National and International level mathematics Olympiad. More than 30 students have won
medals in the International Mathematics Olympiads.
To commemorate the 900th birth year of the legendary Indian Mathematician Bhaskaracharya;
Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana is organising Bhaskaracharya Mathematical Talelent Search
Competition for the 6th and lower standard students from Maharashtra & Goa. The competition
will be on Sunday 10th Jan 2016, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The objectives of the competition are to identify good ,interested students of Mathematics; to
encourage students to think logically and thus to initiate the studies leading to the success in the
further competitive examinations. The successful students will be eligible for a nurture training.
With your active support some of your students will surely find a pathway to excel in mathematics.
The Institute appeals you to encourage your students to participate.
The fee of the examination per student is Rs. 150/- A deserving student recommended by the
Headmaster may get concession in the fee at the discretion of the coordinator. Out of the fee ,
please accept Rs. 10 per student for the school as a token . Please forward their names along

Bhaskaracharya Mathematical Talent Search Competition
Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana has a very high reputation in training the school students which leads to the training for
International Mathematics Olympiad. Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana proposes to start a new activity this year, to
commemorate the 900th birth anniversary of the legendary Indian Mathematician Bhaskaracharya II. Conducting a
mathematics competition at school level would be a fitting tribute to Bhaskaracharya.
Objectives:
1. Identify good students of mathematics at an early age.
2. A pre Olympiad type competition.
3. To enhance Mathematical ability and logical thinking.
4. Nurture programms for the successful students to improve their ability.
Eligibility: Students of 6th or lower standards from Maharashtra and Goa.
Syllabus: Mathematics syllabus up to 6th standard (of all the boards of S.S.C., C.B.S.E., N.C.E.R.T and I.C.S.E.)
Nature of the competition:
Maximum Marks : 100
15 Questions of Multiple Choice - 2 marks each
10 Questions (brief solution expected) - 2 marks each
10 Questions of 3 marks each
4 Questions of 5 marks each
Duration : 3 hours

The names of participants & their fees be forwarded through the Principal on or before 19 / 12 / 2015.
Results will be declared in the second week of February at the respective centres.
Certificates will be given for all the participants.
