ousing with Care at Assisi Place
We understand that moving home is
an important decision, and at MHA,
we care about your new home as
much as you do. Having worked with
older people for nearly 70, we have
used our experience to develop a
special Housing with Care service in
South Leeds offering:
• the privacy and pleasure of your own
• home within a friendly community
• 24-hour support and an on-site
• care team
• the latest safety and security.
Enjoying later life to the full is all
about having comfort, security and
independence – the freedom to live
your life, free from hassle and worry,
with care and support tailored to your
individual needs - and that’s what
Assisi Place offers.
A multi-faith community
MHA is working in partnership with
Leeds City Council to develop this
Housing with Care service; jointly we
are working to ensure that this
development will provide a welcoming
multi-faith environment for older
people from the Christian, Hindu,
Islamic, Jewish and Sikh faiths and the
wider community.
Whilst Assisi is associated in many
people’s minds with St Francis, the
Italian town has twice been the
location for significant meetings of
representatives of the world’s faiths.
In 1986, ‘The Assisi Declarations’ spoke
of their common interests in ecological
issues and in 2002, more than 250
religious leaders signed a joint
declaration on the subject of world
peace. At Assisi Place, we look to create
a community of people from different
traditions, living in peace with each
other and the world.
MHA is a national charity providing
housing, care and support to older
people. We are proud of our values
which include treating everyone with
dignity, respecting each person as a
unique individual and aiming to meet
the spiritual needs of the older people
who use our services as well as their
care and housing needs.
