Miss Mellor recently attended regional training on ‘Teaching Primary Mathematics for Mastery’ led by the Director of Primary Maths for the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. Miss Mellor led a presentation on the development of Maths skills at mastery level which was very helpful in informing our teaching practice. Miss Hull and Miss Mellor attended further regional Maths training on Thursday. They reported back that the training had been excellent with many resources and strategies to develop challenge and reasoning in Maths lessons, so it looks like our next few staff meetings will be very busy as they share the training with everyone!
