Theme: Our theme this term is Evolution! We will be looking at the discoveries and adventures of Charles Darwin; how animals and plants have adapted and evolved across time; and how humans came to be. With a more scientific focus, we will also look at how animals and plants are classified. In Literacy, we will begin the term focusing on spelling, punctuation and grammar skills, building in a variety of genres, such as letter-writing, explanation texts, leaflets and narrative. Many of these will link into our evolution topic. In Computing, we will be exploring data taken from scientific research on evolution of animals and plants. We will use this data in Excel to create data tables, graphs and use various functions and formulae in Excel to analyse our data.
