be working on an as-need basis. Lucy’s retirement party has been set for
the evening of December 1.
Growing in Discipleship Campaign
By now you should have received Fr. Laframboise's letter asking for your
prayerful consideration of increased support to the Offertory. Generosity is a
hallmark of our Christian faith and is returned a hundredfold to those who
give not only of their surplus, but of their substance. Christian generosity
means giving more than we should because we have faith in Jesus. Please
join with fellow parishioners who have already responded and pray that our
Growing in Discipleship campaign will engage the entire St. Philip Neri
Catholic Church faith community.
Parish Rome Pilgrimage
Fr. Laframboise is leading a pilgrimage to Rome on March 1-10, 2016 with a
rough cost of about $2750/person which would include airfare and most
meals. Pope Francis has issued a Jubilee year starting Dec. 8th, so it would be
a great year to go. Please let Father know ASAP if you might be interested.

St. Boniface Church Paintings
JD Speltz, who recently painted the St. Michael's Church 100th Celebration
print and Napoleon's 125th Celebration print, has donated his time and talent
to create a one-of-a-kind romantic winter moon lit scene of St. Boniface
Catholic Church, rural Kintyre. His painting showcases the picturesque St.
Boniface Church, Cemetery, and Parish House. We have started taking
orders, and prints will be on display after the weekend masses on Nov 7 & 8,
and Nov 14 & 15. Please feel free to contact past parishioners, family
members, or friends who may be interested. For more information, contact
Cheryl Weigel at 332-6663 or Jackie Weigel at 332-6629 or look up
speltzstudio.com<http://speltzstudio.com> to view the new release. All
deluxe framed prints ordered by Nov 30, 2015 will be here before Christmas.
St. Philip Neri Finance Council Minutes of September 16, 2015
Members present: Father Ross Laframboise, Dennis Weigel, Cheri Glatt, Jim
Bitz, Terry Schwartzenberger and financial sec. Lucy Schloss. The council
reviewed the short and long term potential maintenance/projects plans.
Cement work in parking lot has been completed. Asphalt will be used to fill
in area between new cement and asphalt parking lot later. Members agreed to
re-install the hand rail which was previously in place near the back church
entrance. Rough estimate of oil and chip seal on existing parking lot, with
work done by city, would cost $4,000 to $5,000. Two trees will be removed:
a diseased evergreen tree near the rectory and an ash tree with dead wood
near Father's office. God's Gift chairperson, Cheri Glatt, reported that
$56,676 has been collected which is 160% of the $35,512 goal. The parish
has a 70% participation rate as 199 of 280 members have participated. She
noted there are still a few more pledges to be collected.

or no faith. For more information or to register call Val at (218) 415-0101 or
