Our Parents’ Evenings will be
held from 4 to 6pm on
Wednesday 15 February and
Thursday 16 February.

be by appointment only.
A letter with further details
and an appointment booking
form will be sent home with
your child today.
Skipathon
Please note that the
British Heart Foundation Jump
Rope for Heart event due to
take place on Friday 10
February has been postponed.
Debt Recovery Policy
Please ensure that all
outstanding dinner money is
paid to us now.
Please can we remind you that
our Debt Recovery Policy states
that: “Payment for school meals
should be paid weekly in
advance via ParentPay. The
school office will reconcile each
week the payments received to
the meals ordered and any
discrepancy will, in the first
instance, result in a phone call
to the parent/carer to request
payment. Any parent/carer that
has not made payment by the
end of the week will be sent a
letter requesting immediate
payment. This will be sent with
the child and also emailed (if an
email address is available). If
payment is still not received
within 5 school days then the
parent/carer will be informed
that the matter will be
referred to the County Council
and recovery action will be
pursued.
Governors have decided on the
following policy regarding
unpaid meals:
A meal will be served until the
arrears reach 10 meals after
which point no further meals
will be served”.
Over the weekend please have this
family discussion - all classes will be
discussing this on Monday morning
What are you enjoying most
about your daily 10 minute
walk, jog or run around our
track and why?

We have just been informed
that the film Trolls (U) will not
be released until 13th February
and, therefore, cannot be shown
at our movie night on 27th
January.
Please accept our apologies for
the confusion.
However, fear not, bear with us
and watch this space! We will
work with the school to find a
date to reschedule the movie
night as close to the release
date as possible.
In the meantime, we hope to
see lots of you booking tickets
for Ice Age 5 on 3rd February.
If you have already booked
tickets for Trolls then we will
contact you to arrange a refund
or to hold your booking for the
event when a new date is known.
Thank you for your patience and
support.
ICE AGE 5 TICKETS
Please note that Ice Age 5
will be shown on Friday 3
February.
Please check the date on your
tickets as we may have
inadvertently sent some out

TV Stars Wanted
Crackit Productions is working
on a new TV show for ITV1
entitled ‘The Money Saving
Good Food Show’.
Their researcher is looking for
families from Staffordshire
who would like the opportunity
to help reduce their food
shopping bill and learn some
tasty new recipes to take part
in the show.
Please contact Paul Martin at
Paul.Martin@CrackitProductions

Cook’s Corner
Please note that we do not
serve pork at lunchtimes as
the children do not seem to
like it. Where pork is shown
on your menu, it will be
substituted with chicken,
turkey or gammon.
Mrs Giddens, who has
worked at Barnfields as a
catering assistant for nearly
25 years, will be celebrating
her 70th birthday next
Thursday 26 January. We
are sure you will all want to
join us in wishing her a very
happy birthday.
Please see your menu for
next week’s meal choices.
