Our modular system made of pipes and joints plans and optimizes operating procedures through Kaizen and Lean Production
precepts.
Through the flexibility and the simple assembly, concepts can be prompt realized. The system is particularly suitable for using in
Kanban; flow racks; trolleys; workbenches and trugger trains.
We dispose of a wide range of pipes, joints and roller tracks optimal for ESD-applications.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Rule 1 – Pipe insertion
•Pipes cut too short reduce the required load capacity
•Insert the pipe up to the inside stop of the joint
•Tightening will be obtained by means of the apposite screw/nut, until the sound of clamping can be clearly
heard
Rule 2 – How to calculate the correct pipe length
•A = Outside size-52(Hj2) -52(Hj2)
•B = Outside size -52(Hj2) -52(Hj2)
•C = Total height -27(MT5132L)
•D = [Outside size -52(Hj1) -70(Hj4) -52(Hj1)]/2
Rule 3 – Reinforced roller tracks
To prevent bending, the distance between reinforcements should be 180-200cm.
Please refer to the load charts.
Rule 4 - Diagonal reinforcements
Diagonal joints are essential to improve resistance and load capacity of large-size and heavy-duty structures.
Rule 5 – How to dimension structures
Load shall be uniformly distributed.
An alternative solution can be the reinforcement of structures by means of proper equipment.
How to dimension structures on castors
It is crucial to consider the load capacity. In this regard please follow some rules (See Utek
Technical Datasheet).
Briefly:
•Castor selection: Total Load < Sum of the max. load capacities of three castors (a four castor
trolley has three support points);
•Castor selection: choose between tube and flanged castors. Tube castors are usually used
for light-duty trolleys, whereas flanged castors are used for medium- or heavy-duty trolleys;
•Joints: load capacity of each joint is 85kg;
•Pipe 2mm: Buckling load 150kg/m. This pipe is used for horizontal profiles;
•Pipe 1mm: Buckling load 68kg/m. This pipe is used for light-duty structures and vertical profiles;
•It is crucial to take castors, barycentre and required load capacity into account. I.e. the barycentre of a 400x400xh.3000mm. structure
on castors Ø125mm. with 400kg of uniformly distributed load would too high and the structure could overturn. As a solution the structure could be fastened to the ground;
•It is preferred to build small structures, because they are firmer and more agile.
