Crafty Windmills: Make your own windmill from a toilet paper roll! Craft yourself a beautiful Dutchstyle windmill and find out the difference between a windmill and wind turbine.
Animal Masks: Tired of being the same old you? Then why not join us as we make masks of some of
the animals that can be found at Whitelee?
Bug Me: Learn all about the insects that live at Whitelee and make your own to take home with you.
Buggy Windsocks: No, they're not some weird pair of socks for midges to keep the wind away from
their hairy little legs! Join us to make a buggy windsock and to find out what a windsock actually is
too!
Dragonflies Vs Damselflies: We get lots of these little beauties out on site, so why not make your very
own to take home with you?
Fantastic forces: Come to Whitelee and discover about forces. We shall be looking at the three rules
of motion that were discovered by Issac Newton in 1687 and describe how things move in the universe.
All 3 rules will be practically demonstrated and then there is the chance to put what you've learned into
practice with our rocket building workshop.
Get Over It: How good are your bridge making skills? Can you construct a strong bridge out of flimsy
materials? Come to Whitelee and participate in our latest engineering challenge. You have to make a
bridge out of limited materials that you can drive our car over. We will then test how much stress your
bridge can take until it buckles!
Hot Air Balloons: Why does hot air rise? Join us as we make our very own hot air balloon and answer
this question. How high can you get yours to go?
Magical Magnets: Make your very own magical magnet to take home as we explore the different uses
of magnets - including how we use them in the generation of electricity!
Mucky Monsters: Join us as we learn all about how seeds grow while making our own Mucky
Monster that your little monster can take home with them!

Turbine Tower Challenge: How tall can you build a freestanding turbine tower? Learn all about
structures while trying to win the title of tallest turbine tower.
WhirliBugs: make your very own whirlibug! These delightful little insects will twirl and dance in the
wind for you!
