A fantastic opportunity
to win one of three amazing prizes before the
holiday season! This challenge is to create a
unique slogan for the Métis Nation of Ontario’s
Provincial Aboriginal Responsible Gambling
Program. It is easy and fun! Simply drop us an
e-mail with a slogan. Even if your slogan is not
selected, your name will still be entered into a
draw. The prizes, rules, regulations, and selection
process are outlined below.
OUR PRIZES:
1st Place:

The first in a series of historical novels that explore the lives of
heroes and villains who shaped our historical landscape. The
characters are fictional however, the historical facts and locations
are tangible.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Seeking a unique slogan that will send out an effective message
to promote Responsible Gambling.
RULES:
1. This contest is open to everyone that is 18 years of
age or older. Minors can only submit with parental
written approval.
2. Métis Nation of Ontario staff members are eligible to
enter except for pre-selected MNO staff or representatives that are judging this contest.
3. Entries must be concise and catchy.
4. Slogan must be no more than 10 words in length.
5. Must be an original idea. Slogans found to be used
elsewhere will be disqualified.
6. You may enter as many slogans as you would like.
There is no limit on the number of entries.
7. Deadline for entries is December 10, 2011 at midnight
(Eastern Time).
8. Entries must be submitted via e-mail only to:

9. Contestants must provide their:
a. Name
b. Contact Number(s)
c. Slogan(s)
10. All submitted slogans automatically become the intellectual property of the Métis Nation of Ontario. The
submitting individual
automatically transfers
his/her copyrights to
the MNO without any
expectation of any
financial compensation.
11. The organizer of the contest reserves the right to
publish entries for marketing and promotional purposes in any kind of media.
12. Prize(s) may not be exchanged for cash.
13. Privacy Policy prevents the release of personal information. Therefore the winners’ names will not be
posted. Winners will be contacted directly by email
or telephone. The Winning slogan only will be announced.
14. The organizer of the contest reserves the right to not
adopt the winning entry as the official slogan of the
Métis Nation of Ontario’s Aboriginal Responsible
Gambling Program, or to make changes to the winning entry before it is adopted as the official slogan.
15. The Métis Nation of Ontario reserves the right to
change rules or establish additional rules at any time.
SELECTION PROCESS:
The winning slogan will be selected as follows:
1. All entries will be collected by The MNO’s Provincial
Aboriginal Responsible Gambling Coordinator.
2. All entries will initially be reviewed anonymously by
members of The MNO’s Provincial Responsible Gambling Committee on December 13th, 2011.
3. The Provincial Responsible Gambling Committee will
shortlist all entries to the top 10.
4. Pre-determined MNO Healing and Wellness staff will
then review and select the winners.
5. A decision of the winner is final.
6. If two or more people come up with identical or very
similar slogans, and that slogan is selected as the
winning slogan, the earliest entry will be deemed the
winning entry and the other entrants names will be
put in for a draw for our second place prize.
7. Second Place Prize will be awarded to the runner up.
8. All contestants/entrants names will be put into a hat
and the person’s name that is pulled will be the winner of our 3rd place prize.
9. Winners will be advised on or before December 20th,
2011 and prizes will be shipped out by courier once
the winners provide their mailing addresses.
10. Any person found to have supplied false or misleading information may be disqualified from the contest
and therefore forfeit any prizes.
