Julia Hlavacik wrote of Mrs. Allton, “To this day, I still find myself comparing every English teacher who teaches me to my tenth grade British Literature teacher, Mrs. Allton. In that humble tenth grade literature class, I learned to look at literature in a whole new way. I am now an English major at Saint Vincent College and I attribute that in no small way to my class with Mrs. Allton.” Conor Sterling wrote of Sister Gilmary, “Sister Gilmary was one of the greatest and most inspiring teachers I have ever had the good fortune of being taught by. Not only did she exhibit a talent for connecting with her students (despite being a six-and-a-halffoot-tall nun), but she truly cared about her subject and was driven by her desire to share the knowledge she possessed.” Congratulations Mrs. Allton & Sr. Gilmary! MRS. LICHTY RETURNS Congratulations to Mrs. Pat Lichty, Junior High Social Studies teacher, for her excellent lesson in determination and the power of positive thought. She recently spoke to the Drivers Drivers’ Education Education class class about about the the lung lung transplant she received in August. The students were learning about the option of registering as an organ donor when they get their licenses. They received a moving account of the new life given to Mrs. Lichty through the generous act of an organ donor.
