What’s Happening at Davidson
Week of April 10th to April 14th…
We Want your Shoes!
Field Day, Wednesday April 12th
Your gently worn shoes, that is.
If you’re like a lot of people, your
closet is probably home to multiple pairs of shoes you no longer
wear. Here’s your chance to dust
them off and put them to good
use! In conjunction with Environmental Week, the KDE PTA
will be collecting gently worn shoes from our Davidson families and staff. The collection will take place Monday, April
10th through Friday, April 21st. PTA is partnering with World
Wear Project to help raise funds for our school as well as helping people less fortunate throughout the world. Please see the
attached flyer for more details.
Field Day will take place on April 12th in
the gym, on the hard top and in the back
field. Students will rotate from one activity to another at their own pace. During
Field Day, students must wear appropriate
tennis shoes. We would like for all students that ordered the Field Day t-shirt to
wear it so that each homeroom will have a
different color. Sunscreen is encouraged for hot, sunny weather
but must be applied at home. We are looking forward to a terrific time!
Parents are welcome to come experience the fun and cheer for
their children. You must have a raptor badge to attend. You
may click the link: https://goo.gl/forms/
GI9gAOKwIp2m5suy1. Please check in at the front office
upon arrival for your badge.
The schedule will be as follows:
KDE Volunteer Breakfast
To show our appreciation for our amazing volunteers we would like to invite
you to a Volunteer Breakfast on April
19th from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Davidson Library. We are so fortunate to
have all of our dedicated volunteers and
look forward to honoring you! Please
click on this link: https://goo.gl/forms/
RqHjYPcZ56n1jwjx2 and RSVP on the form by April 10th, if
you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
Mark Your Calendar: Early Dismissal Day,
Thursday, April 13th
Thursday, April 13th is an early dismissal day
and students will be dismissed at 12:40 PM.
Due to the shortened schedule and the need to
use all lunch tables for students, no lunch visitors will be permitted on this day.
No School Friday, April 14th
Friday, April 14th is a student and staff
holiday. Students return to school Monday, April 17th.
8:45AM-10:15AM Kindergarten and 1st Grade
10:30AM-12:00PM 4th and 5th Grades
1:00PM-2:30PM 2nd and 3rd Grades
This is a list of the starting areas for each class. This is intended
to help parents find their child at the beginning of their field
day event.

KDE PTA Walk To School Day—During Environmental Week: Tuesday, April 18th
Walking is not only very beneficial for our
health and well being but it can also help preserve the environment by walking instead of
driving a car.
Individuals can help to improve the environment by reducing vehicle exhaust emissions,
particularly for short trips when emissions can
be the most toxic.
Please join us as we make a small impact on improving our environment, one day at a time at Davidson, and earn your "I
walked today" sticker! Volunteers will be passing out stickers
from 7:50-8:20!
