Inner Planet Strip Designer Task: You will create 4 pages in one Strip Design document using the Strip Design app. You will include all the information required for each planet. You will turn this in to eBackpack on Friday. Required: 1. picture of the planet 2. name of the planet spelled and capitalized correctly 3. diameter in kilometers 4. average distance from the sun in kilometers 5. period of rotation in days 6. period of revolution in days 7. number of moons 8. If there are moons, include pictures of them. 9. temperature range 10. atmosphere composition (what it is made of) 11. characteristics of the surface 12. an interesting fact (Look for words like “most,” “least,” “biggest” as you are looking for interesting facts!) Helpful Tips for Strip Design 1. Select the Strip Designer app. Select "Create New." This is the ONLY time you will select "Create New" for this project. 2. You'll need a title, so a title box is optional, or you can create a title with the word effects. 3. Choose a layout that will fit all of the required information. 4. For the title, you should type in the name of the planet. 5. Click on "Add Photo" to add any photos. 6. To make a photo box a box in which you can type, select it and hit the lock to unlock it. At the bottom, select "cell style." Select "text" and click out of it. Re-lock it and then click to add text. If this doesn’t work, just add a cell and select “text” for type of cell. 7. Edit your text box however you want for fonts, font color, size and alignment. 9. You may edit the background by choosing "Page" at the bottom. 10. You may add word balloons, stickers, text effects and other cells by choosing "Add" at the bottom. Make sure anything you add is appropriate for the page. 11. When you are ready to move on to the next page, DO NOT BEGIN AGAIN BY CHOOSING "CREATE NEW." THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAVE AT LEAST TWO DIFFERENT PROJECTS. 12. Instead, click the bottom left button "1/1." Click the "+" (After you've added a second page, the "1/1" will change to "2/2", etc...) You will end up with 4 pages, so 4/4. 13. Select the type of page you want and follow all of the above directions for the rest of the planets.
