EXTERIOR ANGLE ACTIVITY
1. Cut out a triangle from a piece of paper.
2. Label the angles 2, 3 and 4 (as labeled at the right).
3. Trace your triangle on the back of this paper, labeling
the sides as you did on the cut out. Extend one side as in the diagram above, and label it 1.
4. Tear the two corners not attached to extended side (the remote interior angles).
5. Position the two torn-off corners next to the exterior angle on your drawing on the back of this
page. Glue to the back of this worksheet.
6. Based on what you see, make an educated guess about the relationship between the exterior
angle and the two remote interior angles.
