Competition Awards Event:
1:30 - 3:30 - April 27 • Auditorium
The Waldman International Arts and Writing Competition
is for students who want to learn more about the lessons
of the Holocaust. Students can submit their original
works based on the theme for that academic year.

A docu-drama based on interviews with survivors
of the Holocaust that were conducted by Dr. David
Boder in 1946-1947 in Europe. Tickets: $10
Remembering the Children
Video Premiere - Shown Continuously
A short video to remember the approximately 1 million
Jewish children who perished in the Holocaust
Lest We Forget Exhibit
Eight graphic prints that focus on various aspects
of the Holocaust and include historical/biographical
narratives and related images.

A Klezmer’s Voice- A Musical Search
for Identity and Connection

Accompanied by accordionist Walt Mahovlich, German
born clarinetist Susanne Ortner tells her story through
music; the story of a unique journey in which the study
of music becomes an exploration of culture and identity.

The Badges : An Exhibit on Holocaust
Camp Identification Badges/Triangles:
In commemoration of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust
Remembrance Day) it is important to shed light and
provide education on all of the victims that were
persecuted by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

Keeping Tabs Holocaust Sculpture
This is an official film record of the Nazi death
camps as photographed by Allied forces advancing
into Germany. Free - Donations appreciated
Images of the development of the Keeping Tabs
sculpture that incorporates 6,000,000 pop-tabs
- each one symbolic of a human being discarded
and tossed aside.
Teen Yom HaShoah Commemoration:
Upstanders
1:30 - 3:30 - April 27
Teens are invited to commemorate Yom HaShoah
(Holocaust Remembrance Day) at The Andy
Warhol Museum. Area teens are invited to decorate
penny boxes for the 6 Million Pennies exhibit featured
at the Museum.
An exhibit of people who are viewed as Upstanders.
As opposed to a bystander, an Upstander is someone
who acts to confront prejudice and injustice and does
his or her part to make the word a better place.
