Tennis Whizz Kids Spend the Day at the Pet Shop
One day Tennis Whizz and his friends wanted to visit a pet shop. We were so excited to play with all of
the cute animals and help take care of the pets.
When the friends first got to the pet shop, all of the birds had been let loose and were flying around! To
help get the birds back into their cages, the friends had to fly around like all of the different birds.
Do you remember how many different birds you pretended to be?
Because we did such a good job helping with the birds, the pet shop owner asked each friend to take a
dog on a walk around the neighborhood. Some of the friends had big dogs, and some had little dogs. All
the dogs were very cute!
How many steps did you take to walk your dog around the neighborhood? What was the name of
your dog?
The owner of the pet shop was very excited that the friends were such a big help. Next he asked them if
we could set up an obstacle course for the hamsters. Hamsters need lots of exercise! The friends made
lots of fun things for the hamsters to do like running, jumping, and playing with balls.
Did you do some of the same things as the hamsters? How many balls did you hit at the end of your
obstacle course?
At the end of the day, the pet shop owner asked the friends if we could help clean the animals’ cages. It
was a messy job, but the friends had such a fun day at the pet shop that we were very happy to help.
How many balls did you throw over the net to help clean your cage? Was it hard work?
The friends had such a fun day at the pet shop! We helped put the birds back into their cages, took dogs
for a walk around the neighborhood, played with the hamsters, and cleaned the animals’ cages. We all
had such a good time with all the cute animals and the pet shop owner was very thankful for their help.
And the best thing about their adventure is that there will be another one very soon!
