I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in
Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead,
and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the
dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the
Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the

General Prayer of Confession
Our gracious Heavenly Father, please forgive us of our many sins. We
regret that we have broken Your law and grieved Your Spirit. We are sorry
that we have so often done that which appears to be right in our own eyes.
Wash us in the blood of Christ; remove our iniquity as far as the east is from
the west; renew a right spirit within us, and grant us everlasting life,
through Jesus Christ our Savior , Amen.
He will keep that which I’ve committed unto Him against that day!

Congregational Meeting: The Elders’ Council has called a congregational
meeting for Sunday morning, May 14 at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium for the
purpose of approving the purchase of 33 acres of land on Hillsboro Road near
Legends Ridge. The purchase price is $1.6M.
New Members: Please welcome our newest members: Andy Burton, Marty
Luplow, Denise Miller, Melody Noah, Ed and Lodie McDonald, Anthony and
Winona McGowan (associate), Valerie Smith-Hartong, Peggy Thomas, Carter

We give thanks to God for each of them!
Parking: Valet parking is now available at our front entrance. Tipping is
unnecessary because the church has a pre-arranged agreement with the company
we are utilizing.
New Sunday School class: Mr. Danny Hale (Th.M., Knox Seminary) has started
a new class today entitled “The Presence of God.” The class will meet in room
#14.

WOW Bible Study: The Women of Westminster will have four Bible studies on
consecutive Tuesday mornings beginning May 23. Pastor Jim will lead our first
study on May 23. Emma Thompson will lead the following studies on the book
of Jonah. The studies will be held in the fellowship hall of Belle Meade United
Methodist Church. Fellowship will start at 9:30 a.m. and Bible study will begin
at 10:00 a.m..
WOW - Save the date!

Saturday, August 19th, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the home of Haden Pickel,
