Synopsis of Play.
Poppyland is a peaceful realm when the King decides to invite
representatives of various nations accompanied by Baron
Insomnia to visit them, in the hopethat he may become a suitable
consort for his daughter, the Princess, but his views prove to be
different from those of her parents.
Prince Wideawake who
.the
guise of a st,rdent erd becomes
\ visiting Poppyland in
enimoured of the Princess who rather encourages his attentions.
Baron Insomnia arrives with Pip Pip and Honk Honk and he
resolves to steal the Majp Casket "Beauty Sleep," which contains
:he fortune and welfare of Poppyland. Prince Wideawake
win
the Princess.
discovers his plans and decides ro rescue the casket and so
_Poppyland is srangely awake, no one can sleep, and even
Hon. Dozey is awake which is a most unusual thing for him.
Everywhere the sleeplessness is felt and when it is discovered
that the casket is missing everyone is filled with dismay.

-At the grand reception of ail the representatives, Prince
\Alh(teawdke arrives wlifo the news that the casket is found,
denodnces the Baron and his assistants and claims the fair
Princess-the curtain falling to the pealing of wedding bells.
