Talent Show Tryouts May 8th – Specials Time Guidelines: You may have as many as you would like in your group – or tryout by yourself Your act MUST be between one and three minutes – if your song is longer than three minutes, you can still use it as long as you make sure your act lasts only three minutes of the song. Make sure any music used is appropriate for Kindergarten through 5th grade to hear. Only Dorsey students may tryout. Only 1st through 5th graders may tryout. You may not tryout with a Kindergartener. Between 15 and 20 acts will be chosen to be in the Talent Show, which will be held on the last day of school during school hours. Background music is suggested for acts that do not involve singing. No pets are allowed. No skateboards or skates of any kind. Bring your own equipment – the only items we will provide are: piano, mats, CD player Suggestions/Ideas: (you do not have to use something from this list!) Sing, tap, ballet, cheer, hula hoop, drums, cupstacking, jump rope, juggle, skit, puppets, recorder, piano, mime, stepping, comedy routine, tricks with a basketball, magic, baton twirling, guitar, yoyo routine, any other instruments, ribbon dancing, gymnastics… Auditions: May 8th - normal Specials Time Bring all the equipment that you need for the act – we will have mats, a piano, and a CD player. If you forget items on this day, please don’t ask other teachers for them or call home for someone to bring them to you. Remember your items!
