Course Description:
The course aims to develop the students’ competence in English
grammar by focusing on the parts of speech. Through the use of target
structures students develop comprehensive vocabulary and word analysis
skills necessary for communication.
IV.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the students can:
A. Cognitive (Knowledge) :
1. Demonstrate study and thinking skills in given requirements and class
activities.
2. Acquire adequate vocabulary need for academic study through various
studies.
3. Develop the ability to see grammatical relationship between words,
group and sentences within the discourse level.
4. Develop the ability to use cohesive devices to come up with meaningful
discourse.
B. Affective (Attitude) :
1. Manifest the right attitude in the process of communication.
3.Realize how negative and positive emotions affect the judgment of a
person.
C. Psychomotor (Skills):
b.3.1 Observe neatness, accuracy and orderliness in all written outputs.
b.3.2 Demonstrate communicative skills during class discussion.
