a healthy workstyle. The Alvar desk adapts
to your body’s need for changes in posture
as often as you want. So throughout the
working day you can sit, stand, recline, lean
– as often as you feel the need.

From shortest to tallest
Having the benefits of height adjustment does
not mean compromise when it comes to weight
requirements. The Alvar desk is designed for
loads of up to 80kg per leg, so its ideal for
situations where multiple monitors are needed.
The electrical mechanisms are hidden away so
there’s plenty of leg room for the user.
Cable management and height adjustability
pose seemingly conflicting demands. The Alvar
desk has solved the problem with use of a
flexible umbilical cord and concealed cable
dump. This means that your cables can be neatly
and safely controlled without impeding the
adjustability of the worksurface.
Alvar will suit everyone. The worktop adjusts
600-1250mm, meaning it reaches both lower
and higher than the ISO standard.
Easy to install
A choice of mechanisms
Many height-adjustable desks are cumbersome
to install, needing paletted delivery which can be
difficult in some buildings. Alvar arrives in easily
transportable pieces and is quickly assembled
for you on-site.
There is a choice of two convenience levels for
height adjustment. The pin-adjustment option
allows height adjustment from 600-900mm in
25mm increments. The electrical mechanism
adjusts to any height from 600-1250mm.
Choice of leg configuration
Quick and quiet
At installation time you can choose on some
models to have the legs straight or angled. The
angled option allows for more room for the chair
and provides increased stability – as well
offering an alternative aesthetic appearance.
The Alvar desk’s electrical mechanism
is quiet and unobtrusive as well as being
quick. At 40mm/sec you won’t wait long
for a new working position.

There’s an extensive collection of different
shapes and sizes for the Alvar desktops, all
the finishes have been designed to co-ordinate
with Herman Miller ranges.
