Background and foreground m usic, live m usic, readings, film screenings and
theatrical perform ances which are broadcast or organised at the instigation of, and
within, educational establishm ents:

on a regular basis, e.g.: in playgrounds, staff rooms, corridors, reception areas, entrance halls, etc.
on an occasional basis in connection with occasional events (e.g.: concerts, theatrical performances,
background music during a meal with pupils' families, school fairs, film screenings, Christmas market, pupils'
shows, St Nicholas and Christmas celebrations, school year-end and Carnival festivities, events involving
parents and/or grand-parents, open days, sports days and all other broadcasts/events outside the scope of
educational activities.)

In the flat-rate amounts indicated above, the closure periods of the educational establishments during the school
holidays have been taken into account.

For determining the number of pupils, the situation as at 15 January of academic year n has been taken into
account in order to calculate the royalties for academic year n+1
However, the following are not covered by the fixed rates indicated above and m ust
be the subject of an additional prior authorisation:

any use of the directory organised by third parties (parent associations, former pupil associations and all events
which do not fall within the financial responsibility of the school management);
broadcasts of background music in restaurants of the educational establishment which are also accessible to
persons from outside the establishment, with the exception of educational restaurants (catering colleges) and
educational hair and beauty salons;
any use of the directory outside the premises of the establishment with an entry fee and/or an artistic budget;
events organised by/in universities and higher colleges.
The royalties will be calculated per event and per type of execution in accordance with the tariffs in force.
