A giraffe is about 5 metres tall. It is the tallest
land animal. It lives in Africa. It has got brown
spots on a yellow body. It’s got a very long neck,
very thin legs and a long tail. It eats leaves,
grass and fruit.
An elephant is the biggest land animal. It lives in
Africa and Asia. It is grey and very heavy. It’s
got very big ears, a long nose called trunk and two
white tusks. It can smell and hear very well. It
likes water. It eats leaves, grass and fruit.
A tiger is a big cat. It lives in Asia. It’s got black
stripes on an orange and white body. It’s got
whiskers and a long tail. It eats meat. It is very
dangerous. It has got sharp teeth and big paws
with claws. It can run very fust.
A parrot is a very intelligent bird. It is usually
very colourful. It lives in Australia, America and
New Zealand. It has got feathers, a sharp beak,
two wings and sharp claws. It can fly and some
parrots can speak, too. It eats seeds, fruit,
insects.
