Important materials to take with you while "site seeing" include: - Colored Pencils and Glue Sticks - Chapter 29 Reading Notes and Purple Text Directions For Scrapbook: Your scrapbook will be at least five (5) pages Use you Reading Notes 29, textbook, and mementos to help you create the scrapbook. Your scrapbook must include the following: SCRAPBOOK COVER: Your scrapbook's colorful cover will include your name, a catchy title, a description of Athens during the Golden Age, and illustrations (you need three or more pictures that represent something you did/saw on your trip – can you include a photo of YOU in Athens?). You may use the Internet to get pictures of Athens. MEMENTO’S: You MUST visit at least FOUR SITES (stations) during your "vacation." At each location, follow the directions found inside the folder. Complete your Reading Notes and activity for each site. The memento (souvenir) from each "site" (activity) you visit will be placed on a different page in your scrapbook. Special Features of Scrapbook: Each page of your scrapbook MUST have… 1. a catchy title that explains where you visited. 2. a description of the site: WHAT the site was like (describe what you saw) AND an explanation as to WHY the site was important to ancient Athens (include three things you learned.) 3. A memento of your experience at the site done neatly and correctly (did you follow the directions from the site?). 4. Have you ever looked through pictures of you visiting the Statue of Liberty, the shore, or a famous museum? Well, you must also include a photograph of yourself at the sites you visit on your walking tour of ancient Athens (A head shot is fine). Your picture, along with the drawing that represents information you learned about the site, will look like you were actually on vacation and posing at an important historical site!! Feel free to sketch your body or use clipart. 5. Visual appeal: the entire page needs to be covered in a neat and colorful manner.
