up, think of next winter when you’ll be
running away to Florida for a bit of sun
and sightseeing. This getaway gives you
a change of scenery without obligation
of a long term rental, or transportation
issues. We’ll fly direct to Florida where

your morning coffee wrapped in your
robe watching the waves. A trolley system
runs just outside your door for a small
fee taking you anywhere from St. Pete to
Clearwater Beach. While a good bit of
the time is yours to relax and explore the
miles of white sand beaches just outside
your door, or to enjoy the evening music
and perhaps a beverage or two at the

STREAM CLIFF HERB FARM & WINERY
Thursday, May 18
Due to the popularity of past tours we
are returning to this jewel in Southern
Indiana. Travelling via deluxe motorcoach we arrive at Streamcliff. Featured in
Garden Ideas & Outdoor Gardening, this
historic area is dedicated to the loving care
and relaxation gardening brings. Their
intimate gardens are done in quilt designs
to commemorate the owner’s grandmother
and her love of quilting and gardening,
including Grandmother’s Fan Garden,
Crucifix Garden, Log Cabin Quilt Garden,
and Bridal Garden among others. Our
friend Betty Manning will share a bit of
poetry and gardening tips for CONTAINER GARDENING followed by each guest
designing their own HERB GARDEN to
bring home. We’ll enjoy a LIGHT LUNCHEON in Stream Cliff’s Twigs & Sprigs
tea room, have time to explore the unique
and creative small shops and even enjoy a
sip or two of their most recent attraction,
The Winery at Streamcliff —all combining to make a very popular destination.

DERBY DINNER THEATRE: “GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA” & DINNER AT THE SEELBACH HOTEL
Monday, June 5
The legend lives on at our favorite southern Indiana theatre as this 19-member
orchestra puts you In the Mood playing
original Glenn Miller arrangements. Unlike our other visits to the Derby Dinner
Theatre, this is a special dessert matinee
performance with the concert starting at
4 PM. So we’ll round out the day with a
NEW

dinner at Louisville’s historic and world
class SEELBACH HOTEL. Dining in
their elegant and artistic Rathskeller on
the lower level we’ll feel like toe tapping
in our strappy heels and zoot suits before
heading back to the Queen City. Don’t
miss this bit of elegance in dining and fine
memory-making music.
ST. LOUIS/ HANNIBAL’S MARK TWAIN/ NEW HARMONY
Tuesday-Thursday, June 20-22
We start our adventure with a visit to
our friends in NEW HARMONY and a
guided tour of this historic village, after
enjoying their famous cuisine at the RED
GERANIUM RESTAURANT. Our travels
then take us across the Illinois midlands
to our overnight destination of ST. LOUIS
and the Drury Inn located city center in the
shadow of the Arch. Our dinner will be a
tummy teasing ton of gastronomic delights
as we ramble to “The Hill,” home of St.
Louis’ best Italian dining. Next morning
we’re off to HANNIBAL, MISSOURI
and our immersion into the life of one
of America’s greatest literary treasures,
Mr. Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain.
In Hannibal we’ll board the HANNIBAL
TROLLEY for a guided city tour
before our visits to the MARK TWAIN
BOYHOOD HOME & MUSEUM. We’ll
experience Mark Twain “live” as local Jim
Waddell weaves yarns first spun by Mark
Twain himself. Did you know Hannibal
has another legendary heroine alongside
Becky Thatcher? We’ll have a guided tour
of the MOLLY BROWN BIRTHPLACE
and MUSEUM, where the “unsinkable”
lady of Titanic fame got her start. In this
small cabin, Maggie Tobin’s rags-to-riches
tale had its beginning. We end the day with
a lazy riverboat cruise, a bit more inviting
than Huck and Tom’s voyage, aboard
the MARK TWAIN RIVERBOAT before
overnighting in Hannibal. Next morning
we’re back across Illinois to one of
Indiana’s favorite countryside dining icons,
THE BEEF HOUSE. After a meal to melt
over we’ll head home with fables and river
fantasies floating in our dreams.

ITINERARY
HOLLAND AMERICA: ICELAND (4 ports of call) & NORWAY (3 ports of call)/
SCOTLAND (2 ports of call)
Sunday-Sunday, July 16-30
Join us mid-summer as we explore the
cool green ambiance of some of the
world’s most spectacular scenery aboard
Holland America’s premiere ship
ms Zuiderdam. We start and end in
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK — one
of the easiest European capitals to fall
in love with. Its old buildings, cobbled
streets and the tower- and turretdotted skyline lend fairy-tale charm
to the home of author Hans Christian
Andersen. Built on a series of islands,
Copenhagen balances tradition and
kinetic energy while the Little Mermaid
keeps a thoughtful watch over the
harbor. Our first port of call is BERGEN,
NORWAY. Norway’s second-largest
city is one of the most popular ports
of call on a cruise up the fjords. Step
off the ship into the medieval Bryggen
wharf area, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site, where evidence of the city’s rich
maritime tradition goes back nearly 1,000
years. The city is one of Europe’s oldest
settlements and its cobblestone streets
and narrow alleyways lead to emeraldgreen parks, medieval cathedrals and
stone fortresses that kept enemies at bay
centuries ago. ÅLESUND, a quaint fishing
town of approximately 45,000 in western
Norway, has been called Norway’s most
beautiful city. A fire in 1904 destroyed
the town. A year later, Norway gained
its independence from Sweden, leading
to a campaign to build a “Norwegian
town” to mark the occasion. Colorful
buildings feature castle-like turrets and
spires with intricate facades of ornamental
flowers, gargoyles and Viking-inspired
decorations. Nearby is the Geirangerfjord,
another UNESCO World Heritage
site, known for its beautiful waterfalls.
ICELAND beckons with AKUREYRI
and ISAFJOROUR ports before the
laid-back and effortlessly cool world’s
most northern capitol REYKJAVIK.
With geothermal water pumping through
its veins and the staggering backdrop
of gnarly lava fields, majestic glaciers
and rainbow-colored houses, there is no
mistaking this iconic landscape. World
class museums and art galleries give way
to a thriving Nordic cuisine alongside
international dining establishments.
DJUPIVOGUR is a quiet fishing village
with fewer than 500 residents sitting on
the eastern coast of Iceland and dating
back to the days of the Vikings. What
draws visitors to this remote corner of
the country is its dramatic natural setting.
Located on Berufjörður it is near stunning
natural wonders like the Hofellsjökull
Glacier and the Valley of Waterfalls. The
village itself is home to intriguing sites
like Langabúð, a log house built in
1790 that now houses artifacts related
to Iceland’s long-held folk traditions,
including a belief in “hidden folk” who
live in the ancient windswept landscapes
of rock, glacier and lava. You can journey
to nearby Papey Island and meet some
of eastern Iceland’s seabird population
including cute and quirky puffins. These
birds are so beloved in Iceland they were
long the symbol of the national airline and
actually outnumber the country’s human
population by some 25 to 1. Departing the
breathtaking vistas of Iceland we travel to
a more familiar landscape and homeland
to millions of Americans — SCOTLAND.
Our welcome to the Highlands begins
at INVERGORDON, wildest and least
trammeled region in the entire UK.
A trove of Scottish and Celtic history
resides here including the world famous
legendary Loch Ness Monster. Our final
port of call is SOUTH QUEENSFERRY/
EDINBURGH. Our days at sea will be full
of options including Holland America’s
newest partner in their Culinary Kitchen,
3
the Food Network. There is also an array
of entertainment and dining options
aboard this moderate size luxury liner
(capacity 1,900). This is a grand tour for
those travelers who have “seen it all”—
destinations you can’t forget even if you
can’t pronounce. ONLY UNPACK ONCE;
have a diversity of dining options and
shore excursions from active to rambling;
and some of the most unique and breathtaking scenery in the world. Call MKL
Tours today to select your cabin! Space
limited.
Reservations due April 12.

AUTUMN BREEZES ON CAPE COD/PLYMOUTH/COTTAGES OF NEWPORT
Monday-Saturday, September 4-9
We begin with our flight to Boston where we are
met by our deluxe motorcoach. Our first stop will
be Boston’s JFK PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY on
the campus of University of Massachusetts. We
then head to the historic Plymouth, MA. Here we
overnight before a busy day of touring, including
PLYMOTH PLANTATION, before travelling
onto the Cape and the scenic and historic village

mill, tea room and a guided historic home
tour, it proves a delightful introduction to the
Cape’s history before our next destination of
BREWSTER and the OLD SEA PINE INN.
Originally an exclusive boarding school for young
ladies, the Old Sea Pine now serves as a family
lodge operating as a B&B and our home for the
next three nights. Our third morning takes us to
the Woods Hole Ferry terminal from which we
depart for MARTHA’S VINEYARD. Our friendly
local guide shows us the highlights—celebrity
hangouts, special shopping and restaurants—that
make this the island retreat. Time will be available
to explore the Vineyard’s unique shopping and
dining options before we reboard the ferry to
return to the Cape. The following day we explore
CHATHAM, the NATIONAL SEASHORE and
the top fist of the Cape, PROVINCETOWN. Our
afternoon is shared with those gentle giants of
the ocean—a whale watching expedition. Since
4
this particular area boasts a reef only 50-60 feet
below the surface, the whales are exceptionally
available—don’t forget your camera! Next
morning we depart our friends at the Old Sea Pine
headed for “THE COTTAGES OF NEWPORT”
including MARBLE HOUSE and the
BREAKERS. The day concludes with a special
farewell dinner in one of Newport’s premiere

With many requests for the return of this
popular theatre tour—it’s back! The bright
lights beckon and we’re headed out to some
of Broadway’s hottest shows with orchestra
seats for a selection of great Tony nominated
and award winning musicals including the
iconic DIVINE MISS M, BETTE MIDLER,

BRONX TALE is a streetwise musical taking
you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s

be. Featuring a doo-wop score, this is a story
about respect, loyalty, love and above all else,
family. Finally, a play sharing the tale of a
wealthy Manhattan family, SIX DEGREES OF
SEPARATION. The play stars TV’s Allison
Janney as Ouisa, the wife of Flan Kittredges,
a couple who take in a young con artist. We

an exceptional opportunity to share backstage
insights from the cast and crew of one of our
plays following their Broadway performance,

JACK-O-LANTERN SPECTACULAR / THE SEELBACH HOTEL/ LA GRANGE, KY
Wednesday-Thursday, October 25-26
A new tour from MKL you won’t want
to miss! If you haven’t heard of the
JACK-O-LANTERN SPECTACULAR
that has fast become a Louisville
area tradition you are missing a truly
remarkable experience. This event was
voted the “#1 Halloween Event in the
Country” by Country Living Magazine.
You will be staggered speechless
by the 5,000 professionally carved
Jack-O-Lanterns that decorate in wild
abundance a 1/4 mile woodland trail
in Louisville’s Iroquois Park. More
than 30 artists from around the country
spend the month in Louisville carving
thousands of pumpkins. Each year
there is a theme guiding the artists to
carve people, places and things easily
recognizable to those walking the path.
It can take anywhere from 6-14 hours
to carve just one pumpkin, making this
NEW

an all-the-more-incredible effort. And
best of all, proceeds go to benefit the
Louisville Parks Foundation. But before
we are entertained by the artistry of the
pumpkins we explore another famous
haunt of Louisville — the historic and
elegant SEELBACH HOTEL. Our
guided tour includes the story of the
tragically romantic “Lady in Blue” as
well as the famed and infamous who
have haunted these halls, including F.
Scott Fitzgerald and Al Capone. Our
tour starts with a historic treat concocted
by the Seelbach’s drinkologist and ends
with dinner in the grotto-like elegance
of the Rathskeller Room. As our afterdinner pumpkin peaking will end too
late for a reasonable journey back to
the Queen City, we’ll overnight in
LAGRANGE, KY. Next morning we’ll
be joined by a local guide to show us
the highlights of this quaint and historic
little town, including the home of ROB
MORRIS, founder of the Eastern Star
Lodge. A chance to wander the shops and
cafes of LaGrange with time to grab a
bite of lunch is included before heading
back home. Gone roughly 24 hours, we
promise memories that will surround you
for months.

OZARK MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS: BRANSON, MO.
Wednesday-Saturday, November 15-18
There is no better place to catch the holiday spirit than among the lights, songs,
celebrities and smiles of Branson’s
Route 76. We start off with a bit of history and a visit to New Harmony, IN. After
a wonderful lunch at their Red Geranium Restaurant, we have a brief guided
tour of the historic area and learn about
the early settlers of this quaint town.
Then onto St. Louis for an evening of
fun and great dining on “The Hill” and
home to some of the best Italian dining
you’ll find anywhere. Bright and early
the following day we’re off to Branson.
Four extraordinary holiday shows are
scheduled including: the smooth sounds
of those handsome crooners of the 60s,
THE LETTERMEN, along with PBS
darling DANIEL O’DONNELL’S annual sold-out show in Branson. And it
wouldn’t be a trip to Branson without
the outright belly laughs and silly songs
of our favorite JIM STAFFORD and the
grace and mastery of that violin virtuoso
SHOJI TABUCHI. We’ll explore one of
Branson’s award wining museums, TITANIC, getting a full review from first
rivets to final Robert Ballard discovery.
And the students at the COLLEGE OF
THE OZARKS are waiting to proudly
show off this very special school and
their fundraising talents of yummy jams
and fruitcakes. In between Branson’s
fabulous lineup of talent, we’ll dine at
a selection of our favorite restaurants
including Landry’s Seafood and Sadie’s
Sideboard, with deluxe continental
breakfast each morning at our hotels.
Our overnight in St. Louis will be the
city center elegance of the Drury Inn.

CHRISTMAS AT COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG
Tuesday-Saturday, November 28-December 2

where we enjoy the handmade crafts and
shopping along with a bite of lunch at the
TAMARACK ARTS & CRAFTS CENTRE
before travelling onto Charlottesville, VA
and our overnight accommodations. We
begin the next morning with a tour of our
5th President James Monroe’s home, ASH
LAWN HIGHLAND. Just a stone’s throw
down the road we lunch at another historic
landmark and home to the most incredible
fried chicken, country-cooked green beans
and stewed tomatoes you’ll ever eat— the
200-year-old MICHIE TAVERN. Then
onto Colonial Williamsburg with a bit of
time to settle in and later enjoy a wonderful
candlelit dinner at the historic KINGS
ARMS TAVERN. The evening is yours to
enjoy your choice of the historic district’s
holiday activities. Next morning our guides
welcome us with a morning ORIENTATION
TOUR OF COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG,
followed by an afternoon spent exploring
on your own the sites and history of the
exquisite village. Our fourth morning
we travel to nearby JAMESTOWN
SETTLEMENT and YORKTOWN
VICTORY CENTER with docent-guided
tours at both venues. After a brief r&r back
in Colonial Williamsburg we’re off to our
farewell dinner at the historic CHRISTIANA
CAMPBELLS. Deluxe continental breakfast
will be offered each morning at our hotels,
with our overnight accommodation in
the heart of Colonial Williamsburg at the
Woodland Inn. Amid the chaos of a modern
Christmas there is still a place where peace
is present. Please consider adding this
historic delight to your holiday plans.

Monument Circle turned into the world’s
largest Christmas tree, this is indeed a
city that knows how to celebrate. We’ll
begin with private club privileges as we
enjoy lunch overlooking the Indianapolis
skyline at the SKYLINE CLUB in
downtown. Then onto the Hilbert Circle

matinee performance of a YULETIDE
CELEBRATION. Truly a remarkable
performance attracting thousands of
Hoosiers and Buckeyes to this elaborate

year. As we leave the theater, over
42,000 lights and 6 miles of garland
adorn the city center Soldiers and Sailors
Monument and after a last sigh we’ll
head home through the December dusk.

LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE & A GALT HOUSE CHRISTMAS
Wednesday, December 13
This popular itinerary shows off the
very special holiday celebration of our
nearby neighbor of Louisville and was
an immediate sell-out the last two years.
First we’ll visit the elegant Victorian home
that is the CONRAD-CALDWELL home
decorated gaily for the holiday. Before
our guided tour we’ll be treated to the
light refreshments of a holiday tea. Then
onto what has been selected as one of
the Top 100 Events in North America —
CHRISTMAS AT THE GALT HOUSE.
Larger-than-life KALIGHTOSCOPE
luminaries, custom made in China of silk
wrapped frames around LED lighting,
then lovingly reinstalled in Kentucky,
lead you into a fairyland of an ANTIQUE
CHRISTMAS VILLAGE and life-size
GINGERBREAD HOUSE. Guests will be
charmed by the magical interactions with
luminaries, performers and 3D projection
before we enjoy an early dinner at the Galt
House. Then onto MEGA CAVERN and
it’s holiday spectacular LIGHTS UNDER
LOUISVILLE. It brags to be the “only
underground light show of its kind on
the planet.’’ We’ll slowly travel through
underground passageways large enough
7
for a motorcoach. You’ll be amazed at
over 850 lit characters with over 2 million
points of light. Much to be proud of and
much to enjoy as our friends down river
light up the night.
