This qualification has been developed for people wanting to run group fitness classes such as Pump, Step, Kick-n-Box and Spin. Who is this qualification for? This qualification develops the knowledge and skills for those entering into Group Fitness Instruction or recognises currency for experienced instructors in the following areas: •• Customer service •• Health and safety •• Knowledge of the fitness community •• Risk management •• Motivating participants •• Planning and teaching one of a large number of class types. This qualification is ideal for Group Fitness Instructors who want to demonstrate a consistent level of performance in: •• Customer service •• Professionalism in the workplace •• Compliance with health and safety procedures •• Ensuring the safety of class participants •• Internal facility standards, policies and expectations •• Knowledge and application of industry best practice.
