Advanced PowerPoint – Activity
1.
You are to create a PowerPoint presentation on “Top five longest rivers in the
world”. Download the following content from the Internet in 15 minutes to create
your presentation:
a. List of top five longest rivers in the world
b. Note down each river’s location/country and approximate length in miles.
c. Some important facts about the top five longest rivers.
d. Two pictures each of top five longest rivers.

Load MS PowerPoint and create the presentation as per the following instructions:
a. Select your desired template for the said presentation.
b. The heading of the master slide should be “Top five longest rivers in the
World”.
c. Insert at least three pictures of rivers on the first slide.
d. The heading of the second slide should be “River’s locations and length in
miles”.
e. Insert a table in the second slide and type all five longest river names, their
location and length in miles in separate cells. Apply your desired style to this
table.
f. Insert your desired effect on the text entered in the table.
g. Now add one slide each for the top five longest rivers in the presentation.
h. Insert the river’s heading on each slide.
i.
Insert important information/facts about each river and its two pictures
(which you have downloaded from Internet) in the appropriate slides.
j.
Apply your desired font size and color on the text of each slide.
k. Insert your desired clipart on any slide.
l.
Insert your desired custom animation on the text/pictures of first and second
slide.
m. Apply your desired starting option (on click, with previous or after previous)
on each animation.
n. Apply your desired “direction” and “speed” on each animation.

o. Go to slide number two and apply hyperlinks on the names of the rivers typed
in different cells of a table. Each river’s name should be linked with appropriate
river’s slide which you have created above.
p. Add another slide and insert a chart based on each river’s length is meters.
Give an appropriate heading to this slide and its chart.
q. Insert a slide at the end of the presentation with a “Thank You” message and
also write your name, class and section on it.
r. Preview your presentation to see whether the animation effects are working
as per your requirement, if not then make necessary changes and save the
presentation.
s. Take the printout of the presentation in a way that 6 slides are printed on one
page.
