Multiplying out Single Brackets.
A way of making things look much neater in maths is to put numbers and letters
into brackets (parentheses). Sometimes however, we need to ‘undo’ brackets by
multiplying them out.
Look at this example:
The most common mistake people make is to assume
IT DOES NOT!!
Why would we use brackets at all if it were true?! It doesn’t make it any neater!
