ACT and SAT test scores should have been
sent when you registered for the tests or
shortly after you took the test! It takes
approximately two weeks for the scores to be
sent to your colleges.

You’ve finished your college applications,
now it’s time to focus on financial aid.
See the box below for upcoming FAFSA
workshops and presentations. It is
imperative that every senior fill out their
FAFSA prior to March 2, 2017 even if
you’re not sure if you’re going to college.
Your plans may change by next fall and
you will have missed the deadline. You
will need to fill out a FAFSA every year
you are in college, so even if you don’t
do it now, you will once you decide to
apply.

CSU PLACEMENT EXAMS:
Financial Aid

FAFSA and Cal Dream Act applications are due NO later than March
2nd in order to be eligible for state/federal aid and school/private
scholarships. This is for MJC, CSU, UC and private schools!
 MOST financial aid requires students and parents to file the FAFSA in
order to receive any assistance.
 Apply for as many scholarships as you can!! There is NO limit to the
amount of money or the number of scholarships you can earn.
If you are applying to a private college:
Check with each private college to find out if you need to submit a CSS
profile in addition to the FAFSA for financial aid. The CSS Profile is on
the College Board website. Don’t miss the deadline for each college!

MJC next fall, it is
strongly recommended
that you sign up for a
spring class to help you
get priority for classes
next fall!! The classes are
free while you are still in
high school. You will
need to pay a small
health fee. Guidance
110 is the recommended
course for spring.

The ELM/EPT tests are required
by the CSU unless you have
been exempted by your EAP, SAT
or ACT scores. You can take the
tests at CSU Stanislaus,
regardless of where you plan to
attend college. The Cost is $18
per test (no fee waivers are
available). The CSUs require
them to be completed by May
7th, but recommend you take
them as early as possible! The
first date is February 11, 2017.

with math, as you may be

Healthcare Leaders Scholarship - A $1000
scholarship for students pursuing an educational
program related to nursing or medicine. Must be 17
years old, have a minimum GPA 3.0 and requires 600
