WW2 Events Timeline
Directions: Create a timeline with 10 important dates/events that took place in your selected
geographical theater during World War 2. You may create this timeline digitally and print it out or
create it entirely by hand. Make sure to hit the following criteria:






For each date (or date range) you need to list 2 things:
1) What event took place on this date
2) Get a brief explanation of the event’s specific importance to World War 2
Choose events in which the United States was directly involved in. Events could include (but are
not limited to) battles (or specific events within a battle), troop movements, speeches, meetings
(public or secret), debut of a new weapon, liberations, etc.
Each event must have physically taken place within the theater of the world you are focusing on
Be sure that the timeline is spaced out proportionally (meaning 2 entries that took place only
days apart should be spaced closer together than 2 events that took place 3 years apart)
Make sure to design the timeline in a neat and organized manner. You want anyone looking at
it to be able to read and understand it without questions.
Include a minimum of 5 pictures that match up or highlight events on your timeline. The visuals
can be hand-drawn, authentic photographs, clip-art or a combination of different forms. Just
make sure you connect the picture to appropriate even on the timeline.
