RESPONDING TO FORUMS AND ASSIGNMENT
WITH UPLOAD OF DOC/IMAGE
Forum Assignments
Each forum assignment contains the note below:
NOTE: Post initial response by clicking on "Add A New Topic." You must complete "Subject"
and "Message", then click on "Post To Forum." When replying to an individual's post, click on
"Discuss This Topic" then "Reply."
Forum discussions do not require any information to download unless you desire a Word doc
with your response. Without a download completing subject and message and post to forum is all
that is required to post a response to the forum.
Complete Subject and Message.
The introduction forum asks that you post an image to highlight your introduction. The
instructions below are applicable throughout Moodle for downloading, specifically in Journal
and Culminating Assignments.

Download doc/image As An Attachment
Scroll down to “Attachment.”
Click fie with (+)
You will get the download popup.
You will get the popup to access files from your personal computer. Access the
folder where your file is located.

Select the file (image or document) and click on “Open.”
You will be taken back to the download popup.

You will be taken back to the forum posting screen. Scroll down to the
attachment area.
You will receive the 30 minute edit warning.
You can click “Continue to move on where you will see your post to the forum.
If you need to edit, click edit.

Download Image As Part Of The Text
You will be taken to the “Download Image” PopUp Screen

Follow the process to select the image you’d like to insert.
Complete the requirements of the “Image Editor” by clicking on General and
Appearance.
General - provide a description of the image.

Appearance - where do you want the image to appear in reference to the text, left, right, etc.
The preview window provides a view of each choice. Common choice is left.
Vertical and horizontal - provides space between text and image, usually 3 and 5 px provides
optimum space.
Dimensions - are auto provided.
Click “Insert.”

Image appears to the left of text.
Click “Post to Forum”. While there are two ways to post an image, it is most common to post
within text. Posting as an attachment comes in handy if one desires to provide an image as a
demo of a concept, etc.
