Dit document bevat zes oefenopdrachten die uitgewerkt zullen worden tijdens de Leeghwater
Statica tentamentraining op 19/21 december 2016. Probeer ze voorafgaand aan de training al
voorbereid te hebben.
Tijdens de training zullen naast deze zes oefenopdrachten ook nog andere voorbeelden en
opdrachten aan bod komen, en er wordt een samenvatting van de theorie gegeven.

Question 1
Determine the internal normal force, shear force, and moment at point D.
Question 2
Draw the shear and moment diagrams for the beam.
Question 3
If block A has a mass of 1.5 kg, determine the largest mass of block B without causing motion
of the system. The coefficient of static friction between the blocks and inclined planes is
μs=0.2.
Question 4
The 5-kg skateboard rolls down the 5° slope at constant speed. If the coefficient of kinetic
friction between the 12.5 mm diameter axles and the wheels is μk=0.3, determine the radius
of the wheels. Neglect rolling resistance of the wheels on the surface. The center of mass for
the skateboard is at G.
Question 5
The spring attached to the mechanism has an unstretched
length when θ = 90°. Determine the position θ for equilibrium
using the principle of virtual work. Disk A is pin connected to
the frame at B and has a weight of 100 N.
Question 6
The spring attached to the mechanism has an unstretched
length when θ = 90°. Determine the position θ for equilibrium
and investigate the stability of the mechanism at this position.
