APPLICATION MUST BE TYPED
Purpose:
State FFA office is a position of leadership, and it is an elected post. The
officers are charged with the responsibility of providing leadership and direction
to the organization throughout the school year. An officer’s duties can be
placed in three general categories:
1. To motivate members to achieve their highest potential and get the
greatest good from their involvement in FFA.
2. To promote the organization and act as a goodwill ambassador.

3. To give direction to the work of the organization and perform all
tasks necessary to execute the various Programs of Work in the
state association.
$125 - State FFA Leadership Conference Registration Fee. $110 - DoubleTree
Hotel Accomodations for the Conference. Total Cost $235.
Please do not send money with the application. The registration fee
should be sent in once the application/exam screening are completed
and notice has been received that you have been selected as a State
Officer Candidate finalist
State Officer Eligibility Requirements are as Follows:
1. A candidate can run for state office at the end of his/her senior year
of high school at the state leadership conference; or a candidate
may run at the state leadership conference during the first year
following his/her high school graduation.
2. Currently maintains, or graduated with, a 2.5 cumulative GPA or
higher (A=4.0 scale; ALL classes taken in grades 9-12 must be
included in the GPA calculation) in high school. Candidate must
also have a "B" Cumulutative Average in their Agriculture Courses
3. State Officer Candidates Must Hold the State FFA Degree.

Applicants should complete the entire California State FFA Officer Application
and submit the application to the Assistant State FFA Advisor postmarked no
later then posted due date.
Once your application has been received, you will be notified of details
regarding the State Officer Exam. The State Officer Exam is scheduled to
take place on March 1, 2016. The San Joaquin Region, South Coast Region,
and Southern Region will travel to Bakersfield, while the Central Region, North
Coast Region, and Superior Region will travel to Galt.
