How to find out if you are eligible for $2500 in work study funds
1. Log into Howdy and go to the “My Finances” tab. In the “Scholarships and Financial Aid” box click on
“Financial Aid Portal.”
2. Once you are in the portal, you can see if you have already been offered or accepted awards. If
nothing shows up on this page, or if you aren’t awarded the minimum amount of $2500, click on the
“Resources” tab at the top to see if you are eligible for work study or more work study.
3. Now click on the link “Am I eligible for work study?” found in the “My Financial Aid File” box.
4. The amount you are potentially eligible for is listed near the bottom. If you are eligible for $2500 or
more, take a screenshot of this page (search for “Snipping Tool” if you are using a PC or search for
“Grab” on a Mac to allow you to grab a screenshot) save it as an image, and include it as an attachment
along with your application & current class schedule.
5. You should also click on the link “How is this calculated?” to see your unmet need. That link will take
you to a page that looks like this. Take a screenshot and include in your application. The total amount
you are eligible for and the amount of unmet need you have must be at least $2500 to apply ($1250
min. for spring applicants) . If you have a question about your eligibility please email us at
