Introduction
Bacterial Cellulose Nanofiber Sheet are produced through bacterial synthesis (bottom-up
approach) followed by purification steps. After purification, the sheets are fully made from
cellulose nanofibers with promising properties. Compared to cellulose nanofiber produced
from wood, bacterial cellulose nanofibers have some superior properties, including higher
crystallinity and degree of polymerization, higher aspect ratio (length to diameter ratio) and
mechanical properties, higher purity and thermal stability, etc.
