AKC Lure Coursing Chintimini Kennel Club May 21st & 22nd near Cottage Grove AKC Tests/Trials/1 CAT Test This weekend includes Junior Courser Tests(JC), Qualified Courser Tests(QC) and a CAT Coursing Ability Test(Test is full). Trials are for qualified sighthounds. Judges Lyndell Ackerman, Ann Chamberlain & Avery McLeod , June 26th near Cottage Grove AKC 2 C.A.T. tests-Unlimited Entries Coursing Ability Test(CAT) for any dogs with AKC registration, ILP/PAL listing, mixed breeds listed with the AKC Canine Partners program or dogs having a foreign registry recognized by AKC. The courses will be either 300 yards for dogs under 12 inches or brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs, and 600 yards for dogs over 12 inches. To earn the Coursing Ability (CA) Title a dog must successfully complete 3 tests under at least two different judges. For the CAT, dogs run by themselves and are not scored. It is pass/fail. Judge will be Ann Billups. August 13th & 14th near Junction City AKC Lure Coursing Tests/Trials Junior Courser Test (JC) and Qualified Courser Test (QC) as well as trials for qualified sighthounds. Judges Tari Parish and Les Pekarski. Friday August 12: LURE OPERATOR SEMINAR Experienced Lure Operators; Bill Martin and Nick Pisias will present a seminar on the field with opportunity to run the lure for different breeds. Topics include: equipment, course plans, laying out a course, lure operating for single and multiple dogs. More information will be available in the premium for the August Trials.
