Join Rocky’s Running Club September 15 ­ October 27, 2016! “Staying Healthy One Step at a Time!” Rocky’s Running Club is a twice­a­week running club for grades 2 through 5 that provides a positive and healthy opportunity for our children to develop a daily routine of physical exercise. Regular before school exercise also helps increase attentiveness and behavior in the classroom. Rocky’s Running Club FAQS When is Running Club?

​On Tuesday and Thursday morning, before school. Runners will meet in the gym. Running time is from 7:45am to 8:20am. Your child may choose to join us on either day or both days. Be sure to pack your child a water bottle so they can stay hydrated. We will not run if it is raining or when school is not in session. How many laps does it take to run 1 mile?

​3 laps around our track equals 1 mile. Your child will get a punch on his/ her punch card for every lap. Punch cards for each child are kept in the P.E. office and counted each Friday by an adult volunteer. Can parents get involved? ​
Absolutely! If you can help set up the track, count laps, count weekly tickets, or update the bulletin board, please contact the PTO. Can parents RUN? ​
We would love it! Come out and get some morning exercise and bonding time with your child. The students love to see adults out there running too. Membership is free and your child can join any time. The benefits are priceless! Run, skip, walk, leap, or hop as many laps as you can and earn fun bracelets and other prices! Fun events, special incentives, and making friends along the way are just a few of the great aspects of joining! Hope to see you out there running with us soon!
