Get Ready for Career Day
Career Day is rapidly approaching and we need your experiences. Whether you are a nurse,
engineer, astronaut or a business owner, we need you! We are looking for a variety of people
interested in spending a few hours talking to our 4th-6th grade students about your career. This is a
fantastic way to provide our students with first-hand knowledge of potential career paths. The
Career Day will be held on Thursday, April 27th from 1:00-2:30 in our school gym. If you have any
questions or would like further information, please contact Ms. Acosta (eacosta@svdpcatholicschool.
org) or Ms. Bermond ([email protected]).
Saints Junior Training Camp Returns to SVS
The Training Camp will be held for students in grades 3-6 on Thursday, April 13. All participating students must have
a signed permission form from their parent/guardian. These forms will be sent home soon.
It's Boogie Time
Planning for this year's Boogie is in full swing. The event will be on Saturday, May 6, on the pavilion at St. Thomas
Church. We are currently focused on securing sponsorships and silent auction items, along with food vendors. If
you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please email [email protected]. Thank you!
Brick Orders Due
If you'd like to purchase a brick for the front walkway in honor of a graduating student or first communion, please
submit orders by April 12.
Got A Spring Shopping List? Get Scrip, Earn Tuition
Stock up on all your springs needs from garden to Easter clothes with SCRIP. Shop and earn tuition
dollars! Details are on the school's Website. There are over 300 merchants that you can purchase
gift cards from at face value and get a percentage for SVS. Please see Mary in the front office if you
have any questions or sign up today. (School code: 59D317EB4998). Order early, order often!
Support our School
Brick Walkway - Are you looking for a way to honor your child or another loved one? Consider
purchasing a brick with their name on it to add to the walkway in front of the school. It's truly a
memorable gift that will last for years to come! Download the sponsorship form.
Fleece Jackets with the SVS crest are now available and can be worn in the classrooms. You can pick
up order forms at the front office or download it here. Proceeds benefit the enrollment/PR
committees.
Birthday Book Club is a great way to support our library and remember your child's special day!
Feel free to wrap a new book, preferably library bound or hardback, and have your child present
their book to the school at Prayer and Pledge on their birthday! A special sticker will be placed in the
front of the book to honor your child’s donation.
Honor a Loved One with the Sanctuary Light - If you would like to have the light in the chapel burn
in honor or in memory of a loved one and have them remembered at Prayer & Pledge for the week,
please submit his/her name and the date you'd like the light to burn along with a $5 donation to the
front office. This is a wonderful way to honor someone special.
Rewards Programs - There are lots of ways to support our school with your everyday purchases.
Check out all the opportunities on the school Website. You can also help by volunteering to hearing
codes from Coke Bottle Tops. Pick up a bag from the front office (instructions included) or email
[email protected] and we will send a bag of bottle caps home with your child next week. Thank you!
Prayer and Pledge is held in the gym at 7:50 a.m., Monday through Thursday. All families are invited
to attend.
